INTERNATIONAL TRAVELERS ENTERING COLOMBIA

May enter, stay and leave Colombia, exempt from the visa requirement, to carry out short-stay activities (including business, leisure, tourism or cultural interest), holders of passports issued by the States, territories or international subjects that are in List A, List B or List C, or those that appear in the Special Cases of visa exemption, as long as the activities they carry out do not generate payments for services, wages or salaries in Colombia. To enter the country, the following is required:

  • Passport with a minimum validity of 6 months.
  • Round-trip ticket.

All passengers must mandatorily fill out the form known by Colombia Migration as Check-Mig. You can do it between 24 hours and one hour before your flight. This online application is designed with the objective of allowing people to record all the information related to their trip, making the immigration control interview much faster, thus reducing waiting time in the room and the interaction between the officer and the officer. passenger. To fill in this information, have your flight number, the name of the airline that transports you, the reason for your trip, your place of accommodation and information on your health status. This form, which will be sent to your email when you finish filling it out, can be printed or you can take a screenshot with your cell phone.

Show your identification documents for the migration process at the entrance (passport or citizenship card). Keep in mind that the use of face masks is recommended at the airport. Check with your airline what are the masks allowed on the flight in case is required as mandatory. For people over 60 years of age or who present comorbidities, the Ministry of Health recommends using the N95 mask.

If you presented symptoms on the return flight, you must report it to the cabin crew. Likewise, the health authority establishes that if the traveler presents symptoms during the 14 days after the flight, they must report it to their EPS.

Finally, you must commit to responding to calls from the local health authority and the National Tracking Contact Center with real information.

VACCINES TO TRAVEL TO COLOMBIA, MANDATORY?

Being vaccinated against covid-19 is no longer a requirement to travel to Colombia. However, international travelers, for their part, are obliged, according to the resolution, to report their state of health, their origin, their recent contact with suspected or confirmed cases of covid-19. Likewise, they must provide their national contact number and address where they will stay in Colombia.

You will need to be vaccinated against yellow fever and show your international vaccination certificate if you come from Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda and Brazil or go to one of the endemic areas where this disease is found in Colombia (see here).

Biosafety Protocols

– Recovery test: positive PCR test result of at least 11 days and no more than 6 months, certifying your recovery from Covid
