The history of Polydioxanone Thread Lift (PDO) begins in 1995. Korean physician Dr. Kim Dong Jun used acupuncture needles to place fine polydioxanone surgical threads into muscle tissue. The idea was initially thought of as an innovative method of relieving back pain by strengthening weak back muscles; thus, in a few years, a new therapeutic approach was developed in the field of aesthetic medicine. This type of lifting with PDO threads has been available in Europe since 2012 and in LATAM since 2014 and is used, one, as a method for collagen stimulation and two, also as a minimally invasive lifting technique. We are going to review the science behind the PDO threads in order to validate their use with the systematic review in PubMed, Cochrane, among others.

There is currently sufficient evidence that properly chosen and prescribed exercise has the potential to control the aging of the organic systems and even even improve them substantially. This webinar will show not only the need to fracture certain paradigms regarding what to do. It will also be communicated what currently has strong evidence regarding what should be indicated from the exercise to rejuvenate the systems and with it, act positively on the quality and life expectancy.
